After carrying out, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Moldova, exhaustive investigations of the area near the capital Chisinau and after the study of the intensity of the wind, in February 2015 was installed the first micro-wind plant Ecolibrì offered entirely by the Italian company A.C.E. srl.
The wind turbine, 10 meters high, is now in a site in the immediate proximity of Chisinau and supplies electricity to the offices of the Government Agency AEE, which takes care of the energy efficiency of their country and the research for renewable energy sources.
We remember, that the Republic of Moldova, according to the Kyoto Protocol, will have to commit to cover 20% of the total requirement of electricity with alternative energy within the year 2020 (source: Dailyenmoveme.com). In the coming months the data for the consumption of electricity will be collected and the energy savings will be calculated.
In March will be held in Chisinau at the Congress / Exhibition Center Moldexpo the international exhibition Moldenergy dedicated to renewable energies and energy saving.
A.C.E., in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Italo-Moldavian ACIM, will present Ecolibrì to the public during one of the scheduled conferences and will also have an exhibition space where visitors can see the features of the micro-turbine, watching a video, which shows the installation as well as the various applications. On this occasion, our experts will provide more detailed information for the evaluation of the feasibility of installing a micro-wind power plant in areas not covered by the grid.
The Italian Embassy in Chisinau will inaugurate Ecolibrì in Moldenergy and for the closure of the event our staff is invited in their seat for a “Vernissage” of Ecolibrì.
